Of meadows, forests and lakes (on our doorstep)
If you fall over once here in Fürholzen, you will find yourself in the middle of fields and meadows.
If you fall over again, you are in the forest.
And after the third or fourth time, you are almost at the lovely little bathing lakes of the Neufahrner Mühlseen recreation area, 5 km away.
But you don’t necessarily have to fall: Jogging, cycling, hiking and walking will do the trick too.

The biggest, greatest and most diverse – well, what actually: wellness center, theme park, fun pool, all together?
– So: the world’s largest “thermal spa” is located in Erding, in the north of Munich, with an area of around 180,000 square meters full of pools, saunas and bathing worlds, and that’s only 24 kilometers from Erik’s hotel.
That’s what we say: Relax!
SCHLEISSHEIM PALACE
One lock is not enough!
A quarter of an hour by car to Oberschleißheim, and there are castles aplenty – Old Palace, New Palace, Lustheim Palace, Palace Park: one of the most important baroque complexes in Germany, once built as the summer residence of Bavarian electors in the north of Munich, today freshly polished especially for our guests (well, for everyone else too).

In the old monastery high above Freising (12 km from us) is the Weihenstephan brewery, the oldest brewery in the world, which not only produces its beer there, but also offers guided tours of the brewery – before you can finally settle down in the beer garden of the traditional Bräustüberl: a toast to conviviality!

Diversity of nature and flowers
The Weihenstephan Gardens of the Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences are a popular destination for garden experts and garden lovers.
Various themed gardens offer plenty of inspiration for bedding and plant arrangements.
From the old town of Freising, an idyllic footpath under large trees leads up the Weihenstephan hill to the gardens of the former Benedictine monastery.
